Contact

It can be scary to step into a new gym, but Professor Robert makes it feel comfortable and welcoming right away. I’m still early in my jiu-jitsu journey, and his expertise is obvious—he breaks techniques down clearly, is very willing to work with people at every level, and focuses on details that actually work for real-world self-defense. He also puts a big emphasis on confidence: he’s quick to point out progress, gives constructive feedback on what needs work, and sets a standard of discipline that makes the room better for everyone. The training culture he fosters is respectful, safe, and skill-building among training partners.

If you’re hesitant to start, my advice is simple: go in. Since training with Professor Robert, I’ve noticed real changes in myself—I’m more confident in how I move through the world and interact with people, and I feel safer. Most importantly, jiu-jitsu has helped me prioritize what matters most: protecting myself and my family, and making sure my kids have the skills to protect themselves as they grow.

He’s truly family-oriented. He has personally taught both me and my son, who is five and has been training with him for about a year. The patience, age-appropriate coaching, and positive reinforcement have made a huge difference in my son’s confidence and fundamentals. If you’re looking for a place where beginners are supported, families are welcomed, and instruction is top-tier, I highly recommend training with Professor Robert.
